115 | Tomas Ballada (on Japanese Traditions and Czech Existentialism)

Tomas Ballada (Tokyo Calligraphy Education) is a Czech-Polish EarthMan who moved to Japan to pursue Japanese Traditional Crafts.  We talk about his life in the Czech Republic, why he chose to pursue Japanese Traditions including: swordsmanship, tea ceremony, calligraphy and more.  We also discuss existentialism and whether or not it has a place in Japanese Traditional Pursuits.

In the intro I rant about internet censorship, Japanese hot springs & travel, fostering discussion, and using controversy to avoid cognitive dissonance.  This takes about 20 minutes.

This episode's featured song is by Tokyo's Black River Band.
